My new best saw

The saw arrived undamaged since it was well packaged. Unboxing and assembly was easy. There are many videos regarding assembly on u-tube. The saw is of superior construction and works well . The miter gauge with micrometer -like adjustments allow me to, in my wifeā€™s words, make more accurate mistakes.:-) I love this saw.

So much nicer than I expected

I now have the saw set up and in place in my shop. Apart from just a few cuts to test it out I have not yet put it though its paces. That said, the fit and finish is excellent. Everything that mattes is metal and sturdy. I don't see any cheap parts that looks like they are "trying to save money." While unpacking Compass miter gauge, what came to mind was that it is "elegant." I've never purchased a tool and thought it was "beautiful" but this saw truly is. The machining, the paint, the accessories are all excellent quality. I am very happily surprised at the quality of this saw, especially at the price. I hope that as I begin to use it I am equally impressed.

my new saw

just got the saw all put together this morning, have not fired it up yet. However I must say that things went together very well, with only a couple of hickups, so far so good we shall see in the coming weeks how it performs. thanks

Ecstatic!!

It's been just over a month since receiving and setting up my new table saw... I have been using the saw almost daily since then. I could not be happier!! From ordering, to notifications, and shipping everything went without a hitch. I also included the MB-600 Universal Mobile Base and the COMPASS RG-1 Universal Roller Guide... both of which have exceeded my expectations. I struggled for years researching for a replacement for my 30yr old table saw... the Harvey was the answer for my search/needs... my only regret was that I wished I had pulled the trigger sooner! Thank you!

great table saw

I've own craftsman, grizzly and even power matic the Harvey stand on it own, I don't need the most power. I build high end acoustic guitars and mandolins. I'm in the beginning of re-build my shop and the Harvey was the first tool I added to the shop. I will take some picture of my shop as soon as I get it organized, about 2 more weeks, you see I pushing 82!!

A work of art.

After getting a T-60S lathe a couple of years ago, I had high expectations for the table saw and it has exceeded my expectations. The instruction manual takes for granted that anyone purchasing a table saw should have enough smarts to fill in the blanks of which there are a few but not so many to cause heartache. I have run several hundred lineal feet of rough 4/4 cherry through it and nary a hiccup. Harvey floor tools are a hidden gem in the woodworking world.

Beautiful saw and delivery was flawless.

This is a beautiful piece of art. The saw is so well made. Only complaint is the overhead dust collector/safety shield. The shield doesnā€™t lift smoothly as you push wood through, so felt it was safer without it. Of course now my dust collector needs to be upgraded. Gotta save up for the Harvey 700 dust collector.

Well built.

So far, I havenā€™t found anything bad about this saw! Set was a breeze. Much power for a 2hp saw. Has no problem cutting 8/4 maple. Perfect size for my small shop.
